Chenille Stems or Pipe Cleaner Dinosaurs

We live in Arizona so we have HOT day crafts but this would be a great craft for any rainy day or any day stuck indoors.  It’s even calm and quiet enough to amuse little ones with the sniffles.  Here is a picture of one of the dinosaurs we made.  {my son of course, is the briliant artist}

Here are some pictures of other one that I found on the world wide web.

All it takes is some chenille stems {pipe cleaners} and some imagination.  Every kid I know is abundant in imagination.  I keep some of these fuzzy wonders stashed away with other such creative pleasures in my “sanity box” for days when my patience is thin or the kids are just feeling all around antsy and need a distraction.

Twist and bend and mix and match colors… it’s a great way to create your very own pterosaur or a super long neck brachiosaur.

Dinosaur Eggs!

This is a great project that we had a lot of fun with.
The 14 year old, the 10 year old and the 3 year old all had varying degrees of success but all had fun.  We took the over sized Easter eggs and colored them with colored permanent markers.  We filled them with grow dinosaurs and other dinosaur toys.

I do have to admit that I had fun with this craft too {that is just the big kid in me}.  This is perfect for the Easter season and a great spring craft.

It could be a great favor for a dinosaur themed birthday party too.  Like the ones held at the Dinosaur Discovery Center in Tucson, AZ.

Triceratops Craft

The Land Before Time Cera the triceratops
Found this super cute triceratops craft for kids... great activity to keep them down to a dull roar!
It is made from a toilet paper roll so it is recycle friendly.  Here at Dinosaurs Rock we really like recycle, reduce and reuse because it will help us as people to not to go the way of the dinosaurs.

You can find this craft at...
